No. 435 English Hybrid Meeting

Date: From 2 P.M. to 4 P.M. on August 13, 2022

Today’s hybrid meeting was able to be held normally, although a typhoon had been approaching our Kanto region. It should be noted that Toastmaster of the Day (TMOD)—the person who leads meetings—and General Evaluator—the one who evaluates a whole meeting—skillfully juggled our timetable and finished the meeting almost on time despite the unusually tight schedule.

The theme of the section on the day was the question, “If ~, what would you do?” With little time to prepare, three speakers made and gave their impromptu speeches about a job you’d like to have other than your current job, a country you want to be born in, and things you want to do as a millionaire.

[Prepared Speech Section]

There were four prepared speakers on the day. The types of the speeches were about a storytelling-oriented speech, a sense-of-humor-oriented speech, a research-oriented speech, and a connecting-with-audience-oriented speech, respectively.
