No. 451 English Hybrid Meeting

Date: From 2 P.M. to 4 P.M. on April 9, 2023

In today's regular meeting, one of our club officers made a motion to change the way of holding regular meetings from hybrid to onsite, taking effect in July, 2023 and the motion was approved by our members. This is partially because of mitigating measures for COVID-19 by the Japanese Government. As a result, we are going to hold regular meetings onsite this July unless unexpected situation happens. After the motion was made and approved, there was a Joke Master session before our usual sections (below), and the JM developed and delivered jokes in a short speech.

The theme of the session of the day was about "Spring." Although preparations for speaking of given topics are short, the speakers assigned to speak were able to wrap up the content they wanted to speak about and they linked the season of spring with music, food, and travel.

[Prepared Speech Section]

There were three prepared speakers on the day, and they developed their speeches about imaginary listening while having a conversation, a misunderstanding happened in a car during a trip, and a rhythmic story about cooking.
