2025年1月25日、第494回武蔵小杉トーストマスターズクラブ日本語スピーチコンテストが生涯学習プラザで開催されました。日本語で進行され、14:00から16:00まで行われ、28名の会員と3名のゲスト（TM N ディビジョンディレクター、Sさん、Yさん）が参加しました。

会長のTM Kが開会し、コンテストチェアのTM Kに進行を引き継ぎました。TM Y審査委員長の承認のもと、コンテストが開始。役割は、TM K・TM T（タイマー）、TM I・TM I（投票カウンター）、TM I（SAA）が担当し、TM Sがスピーカーへのインタビューを行いました。

5名のスピーカーが個性的なスピーチを披露しました。TM Yは「ご飯食べましたか？」という言葉の文化的背景について語りました。TM Tは息子の進学への苦悩と成長の物語を共有。TM Aはドイツ出張での言語の壁とユーモラスな夢の話を披露しました。TM Sは奈良の古墳文化を紹介し、歴史の魅力を語りました。TM Oは空手大会で奥様の道着を間違えて持って行ったエピソードを面白おかしく語り、「押忍！」という言葉の力強さを伝えました。

スピーチ後、TM Sによるスピーカーインタビューが行われ、準備や経験を深掘りする貴重な時間となりました。結果は以下の通りです：

このコンテストは、ストーリーテリングと成長、そしてトーストマスターズの精神を象徴する素晴らしい機会となりました。

The Musashikosugi Toastmasters Club Japanese Speech Contest was held on January 25, 2025, as Meeting No. 494 at Shougai Gakushu Plaza. Conducted in Japanese, the event ran from 14:00 to 16:00 with 31 attendees, including 28 members and three guests, such as Division Director TM N, S san, and T san.

President TM K opened the meeting and passed control to Contest Chair TM K. With approval from Chief Judge TM Y, the contest proceeded smoothly. Key officials included TM K and TM T as timers, TM I and TM I as vote counters, and TM I as Sergeant-at-Arms. TM S led an engaging contestant interview session.

The five contestants delivered compelling speeches. TM Y explored the phrase "Gohan tabemashita ka?" in Japanese and Chinese cultures. TM T shared a heartfelt story about her son's academic struggles and aspirations. TM A humorously recounted his misadventures with a business trip to Germany. TM S reflected on his hometown’s cultural heritage and its historical burial mounds. TM O delivered an amusing yet inspiring speech about mistakenly bringing his wife’s karate uniform to a tournament, introducing the powerful phrase “Osu!” as a mantra of resilience.

After the speeches, TM S conducted a contestant interview, adding depth to the event. The winners were:
