The 499th meeting of the Musashi-Kosugi Toastmasters Club, held yesterday, marked a milestone with six guests, the highest this Toastmasters year including one surprise guest, a coworker of the President.
President K opened the meeting by sharing a touching story about taking care of her 2-year-old nephew, who would only eat mushrooms in risotto, highlighting the joys and challenges of childcare. TM H, as TMOD, brought energy from her recent trip to Sedona, Arizona, known as a power spot.
Grammarian TM M selected the Word of the Day, “milestone,” which was well incorporated by speakers. Each role taker explained their function clearly, making the meeting accessible to guests.
In Table Topics, TM M introduced a creative challenge using random objects to craft stories. TM E won Best Table Topics Speaker with a touching childhood story involving his stuffed tiger.
Four prepared speeches followed, including two Ice Breakers. TM S shared her love for cats and the gym. TM J introduced her background. TM S presented serious life lessons with his “3Rs” method. TM T delivered a passionate speech about her book on international cooperation and won Best Speaker.
The Evaluation Session was led by TM P, who gave brief yet thoughtful feedback.

A fantastic and memorable final meeting in the 400s!
第499回武蔵小杉トーストマスターズクラブの例会が昨日開催され、今年度最多となる6名のゲストが参加しました。（その中には、会長の同僚も！）
会長のTM Kは、風邪をひいた姉に代わって2歳の甥っ子の世話をした経験を紹介。彼がリゾットのキノコしか食べない様子を語り、子どもの世話の大変さと喜びを伝えました。TMODのTM Hは、アリゾナ州セドナへの旅行から「パワー」を持ち帰り、会の雰囲気を盛り上げました。
文法係のTM Mが選んだ当日の言葉は “milestone”。多くのスピーカーが上手に使っていました。役割説明も丁寧で、ゲストにも分かりやすい進行でした。
テーブルトピックスでは、TM Mが持参したランダムなアイテムを使って即興ストーリーを作るユニークな形式を導入。TM Eが、ぬいぐるみのトラとの思い出を語りベストT.T.スピーカーに選ばれました。
スピーチセッションでは、アイスブレーカー2本を含む4本のスピーチが披露されました。TM Sは猫とジムを人生の優先事項として紹介。TM Jは自身のルーツを語りました。TM Sはユーモアを控えた真面目な内容で“3R（5回繰り返す・結果を振り返る・組織を強化する）”の重要性を説きました。TM Tは、国際協力をテーマにした著書の出版に至るまでの長期プロジェクトを語り、ベストスピーカーを受賞しました。
論評セッションはTM Pが進行し、各論評者への簡潔かつ的確なフィードバックと全体の総括を行いました。
