No.501 English Meeting 05/10

The 501st regular meeting of the Musashi-Kosugi Toastmasters Club took place on May 10, 2025, at Sogo Jichi Kaikan, with 28 attendees (23 members and 5 guests), and was conducted in English.

The meeting began with the warm induction of TM S, officially welcomed as a new member. Her friend TM M, who introduced her to the club, was appointed as her mentor by President TM K. This heartfelt ceremony reflected Musako’s signature welcoming spirit.

The Club Officer Election followed, facilitated with clarity by TM K. Each nominee was introduced through a seconding speech and presented their vision. TM E seconded TM K for President. For VPE, TM K gave a speech for TM K, followed by TM T’s nominee address. TM I seconded TM H for VPM. TM I H and TM M presented the case for TM S (VPPR). TM S seconded TM O for Secretary, with TM J reading his speech. TM T and TM I seconded TM Y and TM T respectively for Treasurer and SAA. All nominees were elected unopposed.

The Educational Session, led by TMOD TM P, featured two speeches. TM T’s “Now I know what to do” reflected on decision-making in tough situations and earned her Best Speaker. TM H’s “Music School” included a touching performance and was evaluated by TM S, who received Best Evaluator.

Meeting #501 was a successful blend of ceremony, leadership, and learning—celebrating both new beginnings and continuous growth.

第501回武蔵小杉トーストマスターズクラブ例会は、2025年5月10日に総合自治会館で開催され、会員23名・ゲスト5名の計28名が参加しました。例会は英語で進行されました。

最初に、TM Sの温かい入会式が行われました。紹介者であるTM Mが、クラブ会長TM Kから正式にメンターとして任命されました。ムサコらしい歓迎の雰囲気が会場を包みました。

続いてクラブ役員選挙が行われ、TM Kの進行のもと、各候補者が推薦スピーチと共に抱負を発表。TM EがTM K（会長）を推薦、VPEはTM KがTM Kを推薦し、TM Tがスピーチ。VPMにはTM IがTM Hを推薦。VPPRはTM I Hが推薦し、TM MがTM Sのスピーチを代読。書記はTM SがTM Oを推薦し、TM Jが代読。会計とSAAには、TM TとTM IがそれぞれTM YとTM Tを推薦。すべての候補が無投票で選出され、円滑な役員交代となりました。

後半は教育セッションが行われ、TMODはTM P。TM I（タイマー）、TM T（えーと言葉カウンター）、TM K（投票カウンター）がサポート。今例会の言葉は「Gratitude」でした。

スピーチは2本。TM Tの「Now I know what to do」は、自身の経験を通じて意思決定の大切さを語り、ベストスピーカー賞を受賞。TM Hの「Music School」は歌も交えた感動的な内容で、評価者TM Sがベスト論評者賞を獲得しました。

式典と学びを融合させた第501回例会は、新しいスタートと継続的な成長を祝う、有意義で心に残る時間となりました。
