#369 English Meeting

After the meeting kicking off at 14:00, Grammarian for the day Mr. TI introduced us to some Irish jargons (Slang words) [craic - joke, Wee - small, Lethal - great]. As for the business session for the meeting, VPE Ms. KH announced that she will conduct a face to face session about pathways to encourage members who still haven't started their curriculums. Next Mr. KI proposed that the existing voting procedure to be changed so the speakers of the meeting will be able to know the votes their respective speeches received. The motive behind the proposal as Mr. KI explained was to allow the speaker to see how many people he or she has influenced.  After many members commenting their opinions on the matter the motion was changed to as follows. The voting results of the prepared speeches will disclosed privately to the speaker if requested after the meeting. The motion was carried with a majority of votes.

After the long business session the control was handed over to the TMOD of the day, Mr. NT After his helpers and their roles were introduced. The table topics session was started; TT master Mr. EI had chosen the apt topic Autumn as the theme for the session. The prepared speeches were as followed.  Mr. Shimizu spoke about how similar people are from both China and Osaka. As usual his speech was filled with humor. Next TM Takahashi talked about her love of stamps. Not only domestic ones but international ones as well.She finished off with showing us her favorite stamp and explaining it to us.  Mr.KS talked about the importance of motivation in life and how Musako has helped him to be motivated in his day to day activities. We were also introduced to two new impressions by Mr. KS, his boss and his wife. After the evaluation sessions the award were handed over by TMOD, they were as followed. Best Table Topics speaker, guest Ms.RK, best evaluator Mr.PP and best speaker Mr. Shimizu.
