Musashikosugi Toastmasters Club Meeting Report No. 509

On September 13, the Musashikosugi Toastmasters Club held its 509th meeting. It was an English meeting, filled with the energy and enthusiasm of our members and offering many opportunities for learning.

Meeting Highlights

The Toastmaster of the Day was TM S. He was not only well-prepared but also gave timely and flexible instructions during the meeting, ensuring a smooth flow. His ability to observe the situation and act accordingly—especially when a role taker was late—was impressive. 👏

The Word of the Day was "motto," chosen by Grammarian TM S. The theme was a perfect fit for the meeting, as several Table Topics speakers also spoke on their life mottos.

The Table Topics Session, led by TT Master TM J., was a creative format using fortune cookies. Each speaker opened a cookie to find a keyword or question to speak about spontaneously. 🗣️

TM S.: "Sharing his Good Story!"

TM I.: "Motto in life: Don’t think, feel!"

TM F.: "Motto in life: Being smily always!"

TT Evaluation was given by TM H., who warmly covered all speakers' performances and encouraged each of them.

Prepared Speeches & Evaluations

Three speakers took the stage and delivered unique and personal speeches.

TM B.: "Bizarre Food Ranking in Osaka!" - A humorous yet informative speech that inspired the audience to challenge themselves with unusual Osaka foods.

TM Y.: "Memories of Oni-gunso (Bulldog Sergeant)" - He shared his tough experiences with a very strict boss, recalling them as a memorable part of his career.

TM T.: "Smart Phone and Stubborn Me" - An entertaining speech about sticking to her iPhone 7. The audience burst into laughter several times, enjoying the fun but meaningful lessons.

Each speech received precise and helpful feedback from our veteran evaluators. General Evaluator TM O. highly praised the meeting's flexibility, noting how role takers creatively filled in vacant time. He concluded that the meeting was a perfect mix of education and entertainment.

第509回例会レポート（2025年9月13日）

9月13日、武蔵小杉トーストマスターズクラブは第509回例会を開催しました。今回は英語例会でしたが、いつもと同じように、参加者のエネルギーと熱意に満ち、学びの多い時間となりました。

例会ハイライト

今日のトーストマスターはTM S.が務めました。事前の準備が完璧だっただけでなく、進行中も状況に応じた臨機応変な対応で、例会をスムーズに進めてくれました。👏 特に、役割担当者が遅れてきた際にも、参加者を把握し、適切に場を運営する姿が印象的でした。

今回の今日の言葉は、文法係のTM S.が選んだ「モットー（信条）」。テーブルトピックスでは、「Motto in life」をテーマにしたスピーチもあり、言葉の使い方が印象的な例会となりました。

テーブルトピックスセッションは、TTマスターのTM J.が考案した、占いクッキーを使ったユニークな形式。スピーカーはクッキーを割り、中に入っているキーワードや質問に基づいて即興スピーチを行いました。🗣️

TT論評はTM H.が担当し、すべてのスピーカーに温かく、励ましのこもったフィードバックを送りました。

準備スピーチ＆論評

今回は3名のスピーカーが登場し、個性豊かなスピーチを披露しました。

TM B.：大阪の「奇妙な食べ物ランキング」を紹介。ユーモアたっぷりで、聞いているこちらも挑戦してみたくなるようなスピーチでした。

TM Y.：「鬼軍曹の思い出」。かつての厳しい上司とのエピソードを振り返り、今では懐かしい思い出として語りました。

TM T.：「Smart Phone and Stubborn Me」。頑なにiPhone7を使い続ける自分をユーモラスに表現し、会場を何度も大きな笑いに包みました。

それぞれのスピーチには、ベテランメンバーが的確な論評を行いました。総合論評はTM O.が担当。欠席者による空き時間も柔軟に埋めるなど、臨機応変に運営できた点を高く評価し、学びと楽しさが両立した素晴らしい例会であったと総括しました。
