Hello everyone from Musashi-Kosugi Toastmasters Club! 😊
Our Toastmaster of the Day smoothly led the meeting, inviting each member with a meeting role to share something they wished they had known earlier. Their stories and insights gave the meeting a thoughtful and enjoyable start.

We held an induction ceremony for a new member.

📖 Word of the Day
“Let It Be”
This simple but meaningful expression encouraged us to accept things as they are and move forward without worrying too much.
🎤 Table Topics
The theme was:
“Share a Personal Story Related to a Famous Quote”
Each speaker was given a famous quote and challenged to connect it to a personal experience in an impromptu speech.
1. “A ship is safe in the harbor, but that’s not what ships are built for.”
2. “When the winds of change blow, some build walls, while others build windmills.”
3. “Every yes must be defended by a thousand nos.”
4. “The same boiling water that softens the potato hardens the egg.”

The speakers shared thoughtful and entertaining stories inspired by these well-known sayings. It was fascinating to see how each person interpreted their quote from a different perspective.
🎙️ Prepared Speeches
Five speakers presented a wonderful variety of speeches.
1. “Boldness”
In her Icebreaker speech, the speaker contrasted the quiet impression others often have of her with her truly bold personality. She shared how boldness has enriched her life and helped her take on new challenges.
2. “A Small Journey in My Mind”
★ Best Speaker Award
The speaker talked about his longtime love of train timetables. By reading them, he can imagine journeys to different places and enjoy traveling freely in his mind.
3. “My Unconventional Mentor”
Through her experiences with reverse mentors and AI mentors, the speaker shared her thoughts on recent developments in AI and how technology is changing the way we learn from others.
4. “Value of ‘Noren’—Goodwill”
The speaker explained the meaning of “goodwill” as an intangible asset on a balance sheet and skillfully connected it to the valuable but invisible assets we build in our everyday lives.
5. “Goodbye, Jaiko”
The speaker humorously described trying to seal away her powerful inner “Jaiko” at a work event. In the end, she found that she could not completely keep Jaiko under control, concluding that human nature is hard to change.
💬 Evaluation Session
Five evaluators provided insightful and constructive feedback to the prepared speakers.
They highlighted the strengths of each speech and offered helpful suggestions for making future speeches even more effective.
🔍 General Evaluation
The General Evaluator reviewed the meeting as a whole, including the performance of members serving in meeting roles.
The thoughtful observations helped us recognize what went well and what we can continue to improve in future meetings.

皆さん、こんにちは！武蔵小杉トーストマスターズクラブです😊
今回の例会では、司会者が役割担当者一人ひとりに「もっと早く知っておきたかったこと」を尋ねながら、スムーズに進行しました。それぞれの経験や気づきが紹介され、考えさせられると同時に、楽しい雰囲気で例会が始まりました。

新会員の入会式を行いました。
ご入会おめでとうございます！これから一緒に学び、成長していけることを楽しみにしています。
📖 今日の言葉
「Let It Be（あるがままに）」
物事をそのまま受け入れ、心配しすぎずに前へ進むことを促してくれる、シンプルでありながら意味の深い言葉でした。
🎤 テーブルトピックス（即興スピーチ）
今回のテーマは、
「有名な言葉にまつわる自分の経験を話してください」でした。
「格言に関連する自身のエピソード」という、どのスピーカーも頭を悩ませる高難度のお題が与えられました。
1．「港にいれば船は安全だ。しかし、船はそのために造られたのではない」
2．「変化の風が吹くとき、壁を築く者もいれば、風車を造る者もいる」
3．「一つの『イエス』を守るためには、千の『ノー』が必要だ」
4．「同じ熱湯でも、じゃがいもは柔らかくなり、卵は固くなる」

それぞれの名言から生まれた、考えさせられる話や楽しいエピソードが披露されました。同じような言葉でも、受け取り方や経験との結びつけ方が一人ひとり異なり、とても興味深いセッションとなりました。
🎙️ 準備スピーチ
今回は5名のスピーカーが、バラエティー豊かなスピーチを披露しました。
1．「大胆さ」
初めてのスピーチ「アイスブレーカー」では、周囲から持たれるおとなしい印象と、実際の大胆な自分との違いについて語りました。そして、大胆さが人生にもたらした良い影響や、新しい挑戦につながった経験を紹介しました。
2．「心の中の小さな旅」
★ ベストスピーカー賞
長年愛読している時刻表について語りました。時刻表を読むことで、さまざまな場所への旅を思い描き、心の中で自由に旅を楽しめることを紹介しました。
3．「私の一風変わったメンター」
年下や若い世代から学ぶ「リバースメンター」やAIメンターとの経験を通して、近年のAI技術の進歩と、人から学ぶ方法がテクノロジーによってどのように変化しているかについて考えを語りました。
4．「『のれん』の価値―Goodwill」
貸借対照表における無形資産としての「のれん」の意味を分かりやすく説明し、私たちが日常生活の中で築いている、目には見えない大切な資産へと巧みに話をつなげました。
5．「さようなら、ジャイ子」
仕事のイベントで、自分の中にいるパワフルな「ジャイ子」を封印しようとしたエピソードを、ユーモアたっぷりに紹介しました。しかし、結局ジャイ子を完全に封印することはできず、人の本質はなかなか変えられないと締めくくりました。
💬 論評セッション
5名の論評者が、準備スピーチに対して丁寧で建設的なフィードバックを行いました。
それぞれのスピーチの良かった点を取り上げるとともに、今後さらに効果的なスピーチにするための具体的なアドバイスを伝えました。
🔍 総合論評
総合論評者が、役割担当者の働きを含め、例会全体を振り返りました。
良かった点と、今後さらに改善できる点が丁寧に示され、次回以降につながる有意義なまとめとなりました。
