武蔵小杉トーストマスターズクラブです😊
第532回例会を開催しました。
今回の例会テーマは、「夏祭り」。
会場には夏祭りらしい飾り付けが施され、浴衣や民族衣装で参加するメンバーの姿も見られました。いつもの例会とは少し違う、華やかで楽しい雰囲気に包まれました。
今日のTMOD(司会)も浴衣姿で登場。例会の冒頭では、各メンバーに「夏の思い出」を一言ずつ尋ね、それぞれの思い出やエピソードを紹介しながら、温かく例会をスタートさせました。
本日は、3回目の参加となるゲストにもお越しいただきました。ありがとうございました！
📖 今日の言葉
「原風景」ーその人の心の奥に残り続け、考え方や生き方の土台となっている風景や記憶ー
夏祭りという今回のテーマにもよく合う、印象深い言葉でした。
🎤 テーブルトピックス
今回のテーマは、「夏にまつわる究極の二択―選択の理由と思い出」
突然示される二つの選択肢から一つを選び、その理由を即興で話します。
・花火を見るなら、混雑していても近くで見る？ 空いている遠くから見る？
・エアコンのない生活と、スマートフォンのない生活。どちらを選ぶ？
・一夏だけ体験できるなら、忘れられない恋と人生を変える冒険。どちらを選ぶ？
・価値観が合う人と、価値観は違うけれど心が通じ合う人。どちらを選ぶ？★ベストTT賞受賞！
それぞれの価値観や夏の思い出が語られ、個性豊かな即興スピーチとなりました。
テーブルトピックス論評では、各スピーカーの良かった点が的確に取り上げられ、温かいフィードバックが贈られました。
🎙️ 準備スピーチ
今回は、5名のスピーカーがスピーチを披露しました。
1人目 『わかっているつもりだった』
身近な人との出来事を通して、自分や相手の気持ちについて考えた体験を語りました。
2人目 『どうすれば良いですか』
会費値上げへの対応経験から、チームに頼ることや優先順位の大切さを伝えました。
3人目 『親方降臨』★ベストスピーカー賞受賞！
自宅の壁紙DIYの体験を通じ、自分でやってみれば何とかなるという勇気を共有しました。
4人目 『サプライチェーンシリーズ② リードタイムとは何か？』
リードタイム短縮には、生産効率だけでなく「待ち時間」の削減が重要だと解説しました。
5人目 『場を動かしたたった一言』
他クラブでの経験から、場を動かすために一言を発する勇気について語りました。
💬 論評セッション
5名の論評者が、それぞれの準備スピーチに対して論評を行いました。
スピーチの良かった点を具体的に取り上げながら、さらに伝わりやすいスピーチにするための改善点を、鋭くも温かい言葉で伝えました。
🔍 総合論評
総合論評では、例会全体の進行や各ロールテイカーの役割について丁寧な振り返りが行われました。
良かった点と今後に生かせるポイントが分かりやすくまとめられ、例会を締めくくる充実した総括となりました。

Club Theme
～ Beyond Boundaries ～
Hello everyone from Musashi-Kosugi Toastmasters Club! 😊
We held our 532nd meeting.
The theme of this meeting was “Summer Festival.”
The meeting room was decorated with a festive summer atmosphere, and some members joined us wearing yukata or traditional costumes . The colorful outfits and decorations made the meeting feel especially lively and cheerful.
Our Toastmaster of the Day also appeared in a yukata. At the beginning of the meeting, each role taker was invited to share a brief summer memory, giving us a warm and enjoyable start to the meeting.
We were also pleased to welcome a guest joining us for the third time. Thank you very much for coming!
📖 Word of the Day
“Genfukei” (原風景) — a deeply remembered scene or image that remains in one’s heart and helps shape one’s way of thinking or outlook on life.
It was a memorable word that perfectly matched our summer festival theme.
🎤 Table Topics
The theme was:
“The Ultimate Summer Choice — Which Would You Choose, and Why?”
Each speaker was given two choices and asked to select one and explain their reasons in an impromptu speech.
・Would you rather watch fireworks up close in a crowded place or from farther away in a less crowded place?
・Would you rather live without air conditioning or without a smartphone?
・If you could experience only one for a summer, would you choose an unforgettable romance or a life-changing adventure?
・Would you choose someone who shares your values, or someone whose values are different but with whom you feel a strong connection? ★ Best Table Topics Award
The speakers shared a variety of values, experiences, and summer memories, making for a lively and entertaining Table Topics session.
The Table Topics evaluator also highlighted the strengths of each speaker and offered warm and helpful feedback.
🎙️ Prepared Speeches
Five speakers presented a wide variety of speeches.
1. “I Thought I Understood”
Through an experience with someone close, the speaker reflected on the importance of understanding both our own feelings and those of others.
2. “What Should I Do?”
Drawing on the experience of dealing with a membership fee increase, the speaker shared the importance of asking teammates for help and setting priorities.
3. “The Master Craftsman Arrives” ★ Best Speaker Award
Through a humorous story about a DIY wallpaper project, the speaker encouraged us to have the courage to try things ourselves.
4. “Supply Chain Series ②: What Is Lead Time?”
The speaker explained that reducing lead time requires not only improving production efficiency but also reducing waiting time.
5. “The One Phrase That Changed the Room”
Based on an experience at another club, the speaker talked about the courage it sometimes takes to speak up and change the situation.
💬 Evaluation Session
Five evaluators provided feedback on the prepared speeches.
They highlighted the strengths of each speech and offered constructive suggestions for making future speeches even more effective.
🔍 General Evaluation
The General Evaluator reviewed the overall meeting as well as the performance of the role takers.
The session provided a thoughtful summary of what went well and what we could continue to improve in future meetings.

🌟 Finally
With our “Summer Festival” theme, yukata and traditional costumes, festive decorations, and members sharing their summer memories, this meeting was filled with seasonal atmosphere and fun.
Through the speeches and evaluations, we learned from one another while also enjoying the opportunity to connect as a club.
At Musashi-Kosugi Toastmasters Club, you can develop your public speaking, communication, and leadership skills in a friendly and supportive environment.
