Theme: The Dawn of a New Term! "Be Musako Family"
July marks the beginning of a new Toastmasters year! ✨ Musashi-Kosugi Toastmasters Club kicked off its new term in the best possible way by holding its 505th Regular Meeting on July 12!

First Meeting of the New Term, New Officers Also Nervous!
The new term began with the Opening Address by myself, President TM K. I'll admit I was nervous and stumbled over my words at times, but by the end, the room was filled with smiles! I'd like to believe this was thanks to the club's warm atmosphere (laughs).
A major challenge for the new officers was conducting the Induction Ceremony for three new members—all in English! Thanks to the excellent guidance of Immediate Past President TM K., we completed it without problems, and all three officially joined. What a relief!

A motion by TM H. unanimously approved B.-san, N.-san, and S.-san as new members. The Musako Family has grown!
Lively Discussions and a Festival of Speeches
Word of the Day: A fitting choice for the start of a new term: "refreshing"
Table Topics: Led by TM O. on the theme "Learning & Challenges Never End," seven members delivered unique speeches. TM I., who spoke about time management, ironically went over time but still delivered a memorable and on-point message. Best Speaker was TM K.! 🏆
Prepared Speeches: Five speakers delivered inspiring speeches:
TM P. – “The Boy Who Never Listened”
TM F. – “Iced Water”
TM T. – “Your Own Experience and Thoughts”
TM S. – “My Working Journey”
TM B. – “Please Don’t Trust Your First Impression of Me”
Evaluation Session: General Evaluator TM S. led a thorough session where five evaluators analyzed each speech. Best Evaluator was TM E., and Best Speaker was TM F. 🌟
An insightful comment from an evaluator highlighted that with a shared Table Topics theme, generic answers can be easily overlooked. This was a refreshing call for bold, original responses.
Meeting Atmosphere and Future Aspirations
The meeting maintained a warm, friendly, and positively energetic tone throughout. Even as new officers navigated their initial responsibilities, the club's family-like culture fostered a strong sense of togetherness, encouragement, and humor. There was a shared feeling of growing together—truly refreshing.
Despite having 30 attendees—not a single "Silent Speaker"! This is amazing and a testament to the excellent planning and welcoming atmosphere.
Under our slogan, "Be Musako Family," let's embrace this new year and enjoy the journey of growth together! 🎉

テーマ：新期の幕開け！「Be Musako Family」
7月はトーストマスターズの新年度の始まりです。私たち武蔵小杉トーストマスターズクラブは、7月12日に第505回例会を開催し、新期を最高の形でスタートさせました！
例会概要

場所: 総合自治会館 第3会議室
参加者: 会員27名、ゲスト3名（入会式で正式入会）計30名

新期最初の例会、新役員は緊張も！
新会長TM K.による開会宣言で新期が始まりました。やはり初めてということで緊張が伝わり、言葉につまずく場面もありましたが情熱の感じられる時間となりました。皆が笑顔で聞いていたのが印象的でした。
今回、新役員にとっての大きな難関は、3名の新メンバーを迎える英語での入会式でした。前会長 とTM K.の事前リハもあり、滞りなく実施できたました。役員は特に全員入会できたことにホッとしました！
新たな仲間たち
TM H.からの動議により、B.-san、N.-san、S.-sanの3名が新メンバーとして満場一致で承認されました。新たなMusako Familyの誕生です！
活発な議論とスピーチの祭典
今日の言葉 (Word of the Day): 新期の始まりにふさわしい「refreshing」
即興スピーチ (Table Topics): TM O.の進行で「学びと挑戦に終わりはない」というテーマで行われ、7名が個性豊かなスピーチを披露。一つ例を挙げると、タイムマネージメントがチャレンジだと話してくれたTM I.が、皮肉にも時間オーバーしつつも、記憶に残る見事なメッセージを届けました。ベストスピーカーはTM K.でした。 🏆

論評セッション (Evaluation Session): 総合論評のTM S.のもと、5名の論評者が各スピーチを深く分析。ベスト論評者はTM E.、ベストスピーカーはTM F.でした。 🌟
論評者からは「お題が同じ場合、当たり障りのない答えは印象に残りにくい。尖った回答（大胆で独創的な答え）を用意すべき」という、目から鱗の視点での論評がありました。素晴らしいですね！
例会の雰囲気と今後の抱負
終始、和やかで友好的、そしてポジティブなエネルギーに満ちた例会でした。新役員が初めての役割に挑む中でも、クラブの家族のような文化が一体感、励まし、そしてユーモアを育んでいました。共に成長していくという共通の感覚は、まさに「refreshing」でした。
30名もの参加者がいながら、「サイレントスピーカー（沈黙のスピーカー）」が一人もいなかったのは、素晴らしい采配（企画と歓迎の雰囲気）のおかげです。
スローガン「Be Musako Family」のもと、この新しい一年を共に楽しみ、成長の旅を続けていきましょう！ 🎉
